JOB DESCRIPTION;

• Capturing, converting, creating, editing and maintaining Digital information in GIS environment.
• Producing quality cartographic maps
• Development and maintenance of data management policies, procedures and standards.
• Programming experience  of web based GIS applications
• Spatial Data Analysis based on existing telecom coverage prediction plots to identify unserved areas
• Database management tools and applications
• Use of RS and GIS tools to identify and categorize, population, settlements, roads and other useful geographical features
• Travelling may be required as per work requirement in any project area across the country.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Telecom Engineering (equivalent to 16 years of education) with MS/Mphil in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geo-Informatics or
• Masters (equivalent to 16 years of education) in Geography with MS/MPhil in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geo-Informatics
• Min 7 years of relevant working experience.

EXPERTISE:

• Experience in ESRI, ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, MapInfo and other GIS and Remote Sensing tools and software (Proprietary or Open Source).
• Practical experience in GIS/RS applications, Spatial Analysis tools, WebGIS preferably in Telecommunication Sector.
• RF planning and propagation modeling experience would be a definite edge.
