Thoroughly understand plans and requirements given by Head of Industrial Engineering
Review production process, engineering specifications of machines, expected order sizes, and other related information to adopt most relevant manufacturing methods, procedures, and layouts.
Design layout of workspace and positioning of machines, equipments and materials to achieve maximum efficiency and present to Head of Industial Engineering and Installation for approval.
Perform mathematical calculations to determine staff, machines, materials, and energy requirements and present report to Head of Industrial Engineering and Installation for approval.
Plan and establish sequence of operations to process and assemble parts of products.
Regularly perform time motion studies and calculate man machine ratios to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of layout.
Come up with solutions to resolve production problems to maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Prepare detailed cause and effect report of production losses and present to Head of Industrial Engineering and Installation with suggestion for improvement.
Communicate with management and user personnel to ensure clear understanding of designed layouts and processes.
Evaluate effect of product specifications changes on production flow and layouts and present report to Head of Industrial Engineering and Installation for approval.
Critically evaluate and alter current production layouts and processes to expedite production operations in emergencies and bulk orders.
Identifies, develops, and manages process improvement projects specifically aimed at improving operational efficiencies.
Ensure up to date record keeping of engineering drawings and documentation of production problems.
